Hello out there!!!!! (echo)

Holy cow. I really am a bad blogger. Life got very crazy.....and I stopped reading blogs and writing my own. Here I am 36 weeks pregnant....with a baby girl on the way. We are moving in 2 weeks.....back to Power Ranch...where we belong..as Ella says. Queen Creek has been ad adventure and a learning experience and a lot of horse crap too. We have struggled to learn what we are supposed to through out this experience....but that is just part of life I guess. Please let me new neighbors be normal. I was blessed to have a set of neighbors here that are amazing and will be missed dearly. Becky, Chris and Nick..and Mammie and Pops. They are part of our family! I think they will miss the daily hugs from my little ones...thankfully we aren't going too far....Far enough that we won't have to deal with the horrible neighbors. :)
We are thinking to name our baby Quinn Michele...but aren't 100% solid on it yet. We like Kate and Molly too....so we shall see. I got gestational diabetes this time around...and it has been crazy. I am grateful however, for the healthy eating habits that I have adopted and learned about...and I hope to keep. It was helped me only gain 5 pds so far. crazy! The diet has been sad and emotional for me and times....but we are pushing though. Seth had joined me for the most part...but he cheats WAY more than me. We both feel pretty good eating more healthy.
Oh man....so much to say about the little ones.....they are all so good. They are showing responsibility and helpfulness and are such good kids! They are really rising up at time when our family is having to pull together to make everything work. My heart is so full of love and gratitude for them...they are amazing to me. The girls are handling the move a bit better than Luke. He likes his school and has alot going on. HE won the history bee at school and qualified to go to Regionals....he is going to compete on the Math team....he enjoys Mr. D ..the gifted specialist SOOO MUCH!!!!! He has never been a fan of change....we are hoping after all of the work it took to get here....it will be best for everyone. We had 7 houses fall through since May....so we know that we are where we are supposed to be...either that, or the man upstairs is a funny guy. :)
Luke starts basketball on Tuesday.....Hope just finished volleyball and starts soccer in the Spring. Ella is going to be starting soccer soon...with Lucy and uncle Adam as her coach. She is so excited. Sadie is the official cheerleader for everyone..along with me. She goes with me to all of Seth's Higley JV games and cheers. ( and lets me know when I am yelling too much) She still is clingy and really wanting to be with us...in between Seth and I if possible....but I hope and pray she will be ready for kindergarten this year. She is so fun and caring and protective of me and baby...she is pumped to be a big sister!
Seth is loving being a head coach....it is more work, stress and drama than he or I expected.....but he loves it...and his team is coming together. Go Knights!
It is true....SEth is working 2 jobs, coaching highschool bball, it is tax season, we are moving in 2 weeks and we are having a baby in 3. NUTS!
I got on here to post pics and got blabbing....so I better wrap it up. My friend Becky took these pic of us a week or so ago. Who takes family pics at 8 months pregnant...mE!!!! crazy......

Back to life.... back to reality

Back to the hear and now...yeah. Remember that?

Anyhoo....Hope and I made it home from our lovely jaunt up to the great white north. We ate and ate.....visited....worked...rested and had a great time. Why is it so good to just sit and pee yoru pants laughing over dumb stuff with your OWN family? It was a special time...much needed for me. I needed some hugs and butt pinches from people who know me..and love me anyway. It is a special thing to have people in your life that knew you most of your life.... all of the embarrassing things you did...bad and good choices....tears and laughter. I am blessed with many people like that in my life and I am truly grateful for those relationships. I wish I could travel all over the place and see them all....but you remain in my heart always. I have even been lucky to make friends everywhere we have lived....i am reminded to keep in touch wiht all of those I have known and loved...everyone else...can bugger off. just kidding. getting too serious there!

Ok..Canada. My loves of you: food first: Fries Supreme....so good. Wake up USA!
Ukrainian ladies that make a mean perogie
Pizza and wings.....SO MUCH BETTER
Chicken Chow Mein how I like it: Bean
Sprouts instead of gross noodles.
I like polite people who don't have guns
Trees...big beautiful trees everywhere
Friends and family ofcourse...
Fresh water beaches.....sooo nice.
Cool breezes....except on those record
breaking days...... just my luck!

Here is what bugs: The 5 different garbage bins...compost, paper, plastic, organics, whatever else...holy crap. My mom decides to tell me AFTER I chop down a bunch of huge branches that I must then chop it all into tiny pieces to fit into a bin. Too green for me.
Charging me for plastic bags at the grocery store. not cool.
The clothes....people were hurting. could have been the people of the area I was in...but I saw very little cuteness.
The cost of food and clothes....maybe that is why they were so hurtin....I have never been so grateful for Ross in my life. Poor Canadians....you gotta spend an awful lot to look good and eat healthy!
The USA bashing. - could have just been my folks...but sheesh...HATERS!

I am sure nobody really cares about my like and dislikes...so I will move on.
We are heading tonight to the end of season party for our little swimmers. Luke Hope and Ella swam their little hearts out all summer. So proud of them and their ribbons and improvements. It was nice to not have to drive so far this year.

The kids all start school here on Wednesday. Luke, the 6th grade and Hope, the 5th. Crazy! I am looking forward to more routines....but also sad to give up the freedom that summer allows. Luke and Hope are at the middle school this year...leaving Ella alone at the elementary school. Ella goes all day this year for first grade.....something little Miss Sadie will no doubt have a hard time with. Ella isn't much of a morning person....so I am sure it will be an adjustment for her. I got her up earlier today....and will every day until then to help her get used to it. We will miss her here at home.

If you have read this far through all of my boring details, I will reward your patience with a little tidbit of juicy news. I am pregnant. Don't know many details other than that I am, and I feel like crap everyday and we have no health insurance.
I haven't felt that great....wondering if I might miscarry....but I figure if you read this blog...you probably care about me, and will be there for me either way. So, onboard we all are together!

Summer Lovin'

Well...hard to believe that we are over half way through June! Crazy! The days are going by pretty fast, I must say. The kids have swim team, the girls do a day camp kind of thing 2 days a week..Hope had art classes.....Seth Luke Hope and sometimes Ella have been going to basketball camp Mon- Thurs 8 am - 10am. at Higley. Did I mention that Seth is officially the JV Head Basketball Coach over there????

We have also created a reading club of sorts....where my kids, neighbor kids....whoever's kids...can come and spread put a blanket a pillow and read for 30 mins. We keep track of pages read, adn are planning an ice cream sundae party. We sometimes have a snack....and we always go over the words we aren't sure of the meaning of at the end! They are all silent for 30 minutes. IT is great! Gotta keep those minds from turning to mush!

I love staying up late and sleeping in. I try to say yes more often to all of the many requests for stories, snuggles, and dance parties. I love little white bottoms with tan legs. I love popcorn and movie nights and days. I love summer highlights in every one's hair. I love not driving to the schools every day. I love leaving Luke alone with the girls to run quick errands or grab a quick bite with Seth.
Summer rules.
I forgot to say I love going home too!!!...July 12!!!! Can't wait!

The Canucks lost the Cup. Such a bummer. I had an upset stomach for days over it all. Who knows maybe I would have been a crazy rioter or even a looter if I lived in Vancouver. just kidding. of course I would not be.
hope everyone is having a lovely summer... :)

My Baby is almost 4 !!!!!

Grandpa and Grandma Barb

What a treat it was to have my Dad and his wife Barb here for a visit. It
went by soooo quick...and we wished they could have stayed forever!!!! It was a very anticipated visit, as we wondered if Dad would make it to AZ again....or if he would make it at all. After 6 months of being ill, and getting down to 155 lbs, we were all praying that he would find relief. Finally a dr. figured out what the problem was and fixed it....and that was followed by 2 more surgeries and a small stroke.
We were so excited to have him here and have time to create more memories with him. I forgot where I got my night owl tendencies from....we stayed up way too late chatting and laughing and sometimes crying! .....it was the best.
Most of the time, they were busy spoiling kids...buying them whatever they wanted..like stuffed llamas, and cupcake decorating kits. They were in heaven! For all of the spoiling, I think the best times were quiet snuggles and stories.

Ella is a Star!!!

Ella was honored by the City of Queen Creek as a Star Student last month. She got a certificate from the Mayor and dinner!!!!
We are so proud of her!!!!

Picture catch up time!!!!

Luke is 11. holy crap.

Late and Random

Well...this week was much more uneventful than last....no swearing crazy people yelling at my kid....and almost beating me up. ( I could have taken her!)
...just a regular week...but a good one...the LAST week of Tax Season!!!! woo hoo!
We are looking forward to our annual getaway....camping this time. I think it is going to be fun.
I want to update this more often...but I am so tired at night...I can only think of dumb random things to write about. like right now.
I can't stop thinking about how bad I want the Bare NAked LAdies to get back together. It just isn't right. cocaine or no cocaine...just get back together!
I had the same nightmare over and over last night. What is wrong with my brain? I would get up, go pee..come back and again...same dumb scary dream about me losing my luggage that had important things in it.
That better not happen again tonight.
If TIm Riggins is my boyfriend..does that mean I am unfaithful to my husband in my thoughts?
Good talks at Church today....one about marriage...and the faithful stuff.
Sadie hates being away from me. My fault..I hate it and kinda love it.
My best friend is 3. Does that make me a loser?
I wonder where we will live...it grosses me out to move into a rental knowing other people lived life in there. It is like a giant public bathroom. I get over it though. with lots of bleach.
My Dad is coming to visit. Hasn't been here in almost 6 yrs. Scared and excited. Glad he is alive.
I think we overwhelm people.
Hope tried out for Annie....she fell apart and cried with fear. She had to sing a solo....Seth took her. ( I kinda knew this would happen) Maybe this will get easier...maybe she won't want to do it anymore...not sure.
Luke is enjoying baseball....not liking the fact that his team is really small and probably won't win too many games. HE has great coaches that teach him....I am so grateful for that.
I hate when people spell grateful....greatful. I saw that three times today.
Ella and Sadie are obsessed with being babies right now...they even got out the old play pen and begged to sleep in it tonight, They asked if I would feed them apple sauce in it tomorrow. I said SURE!
Seth is wanting me off the computer.
See, I told you I should not blog at night!

peace!

smackdown in the Villages....almost!

Wow. Today was so weird.
Started it off normal....got the kids to school, got Ella to kindergarten....etc. Sadie and I did some shopping, and came home ready to make a delicious dinner.
Luke and his friend came into the kitchen as I was making the salad, saying there was a lady...the mother of another boy...who had been yelling at them..and had gotten into Luke's face and told him he didn't know who the F#$% he was dealing with. He said the real word. Then the friend says...And she got into her car and followed us calling us little SH#$S...and she is calling the F ING police.
??????
I was stunned. First... that an adult would say those things...and that my kid just said F#@$. twice. So....being the momma bear that I am...I got in my car and drove over there.
"If she hits me , call 911"
Really, Mom?
Yes. really.

Before I am even around my car, she is coming at me. yelling, accusing, swearing, telling me my kid is a bully, she is calling the cops, etc.
I was so calm. ( yes...ME!!!!)
I told her I was over there to find out what happened. She didn't need to talk to me like that.
She didn't like that....she is an f ing adult, and I better get off her property....etc. ( by now, she is in my face...like 2 inches from my face)
I looked down at the sidewalk that my feet were on and said. "I am not on your property , and you are welcome to call the police." When there is a incident with my kid...I get involved...I am trying to figure out what happened...which is what you should have done before chasing down kids in your car, swearing at that them. Seriously!????
It went in circles for awhile...I remained calm. ( I know...crazy!!!!)
She and her husband apologized for the language and the craziness.. just before the mother of the other boy shows up and it started all over again.
We got back around to apologies, and I asked if she could get her boy to come out for an apology. ( I really wanted to see the scuff marks all over him that the Mom said he had, that Luke swore could not have happened)
He had none.
I had Luke apologize for upsetting the boy in a football game. and told the boys I thought they were all good boys, none of them were bullys...and that they play at our house anytime. ( 5 mins after she told me that if she saw Luke anywhere near their house, she would call the police.) ( told you I was calm!!!!!)

Over all, it was so weird. Weird is not the right word. It was sad...it was kinda funny.....it was scary....and it was peaceful. That is how I know for sure Heavenly Father had a hand in how it all went down. I felt a calmness and an empathy for the family that I know was not from me alone.
I honestly think that my prayer this morning for good health and safety was answered. She was certainly capable of grabbing me by the hair and smashing my head against the curb..... just sayin.

The evidence of a Loving God is sometimes found in the strangest of places.

I suck at blogging

Man! I am just too busy to have a blog. My list of things I never quite get to is getting very long these days...but I am trying not to let it get me down...there is something to be said for surviving.,..right?!!

We just got back from the Regional Spelling Bee. A little background.....Luke won his class bee, then was in the top 5 for his school....which got him to the District Bee. There he faced 4 - 8 grades!!!!! HE was the runner up!!! This qualified him for the Regional Bee today. We studied a bit....you know Luke...sports first, playing second, studies third....chores 80 bizillionish. :)
There were some hard core spellers there...whoa...I could not even have spelled half of their names! Luke ended up in the middle of about 30 kids. We are so proud of him....He was not so happy. He is so hard on himself. Poinsettia got him. I have always hated those ugly plants!

Seth finished up basketball season at McClintock...and we heard that the nasty coach from Higley that Seth did not want to work with was fired! Sounds mean....but I am happy for all of our friends headed to Higley High!
If is was a possiblity for Seth to love basketball more...he just might, after this season. He really enjoyed it and hopes for a head coach position next year. Can't say I am looking forward to the kids all by myself every night, but we survived.
Now it is tax season....soon to be renamed debt paying off season!!!! Lookign forward to our April 15th getaway!!!!

The girls are all great...Ella is loving kindergarten...she started dance and is loving it! Sadie is now going to dance class and one day a week of preschool. She can be found most days rockin' a tutu and ugg boots. ( panties optional)
She also goes to Sunbeams all by herself! ( I honestly thought I may be sitting in primary until she was 12!!!) ( with panties...most of the time...we keep a spare pair in the glove box of the car...just in case..... one time of discovering that Sadie's commando in the chapel, teaches you a valuable lesson )
Hope is busy with school, activity days and being my right hand! She is striving to get straight A's....as Grandma promises a lap top for anyone who gets straight A'a in the 4th grade! She is so helpful and fun to hang out with. She has been taking a ton of pictures with her camera she got for Christmas..and she is quite good!

Luke is about to start another season of baseball. We were unsure about this season until we got a call from our coach from last year.....Coach Contreras...who is coaching again and wanting Luke! We are all excited!
HE and I got to go to a Coyotes hockey game last week...courtesy of our awesome neighbor Kat! They were amazing seats..and hands down the best live game ever!!!! Our first shoot out...and the yotes got the win! We howled till we almost lost our voices!

I am in the process of starting my own little side business. I am taking care for Canadian's vacation homes for them while they are away. Stuff I can do with the kids or at night....I am really excited and hoping it grows!!!
I am still recovering from teh Winter Carnival that the PTO did at the kids school last week. IT was a lot of work...but a huge success and we made a lot of money!
There is an offer in on the house that may allow us to remain here are renters....we are waiting to see how it goes down! No more showings though!

All in all we are all healthly and well...and very blessed. I feel very blessed to be the Mom of these kids. Sadie is getting bigger every day and I am realizing that I may never have another one this small. It is sad and happy at the same time....independence is nice....but there really isn't anything better than the love these little ones give us, is there? At WalMArt the other day, a lady and her daughter dumped out a huge grocery bag of coins onto the road in front of the entrance. I had no kids with me...which is rare...so I stopped and helped them pick the coins up. We got to chatting on the ground...and she said she had 5 kids...I told her I had 4...and she practically yelled " WELL...STOP NOW......NO MORE!!!!!...really...NO MORE!!!!! ( in front of her kid)
I walked away from that feeling sad. Sad she would say that in front of her daughter...sad that she feels that way in the first place...and sad that she would offer that to me...in a yelling voice even!
After thinking about it on and off all day....I was reminded ( or in other words beaten over the head for the millionth time) that joy in motherhood...and life in general is something we have to choose....at least I do. I have no idea what brought that lady to those feelings..and I am no one to judge......but I know somedays really suck and being a mother can be a thankless job at times. I can look back on the last month and see little times when I think Heavenly Father has seen my struggles and has rooted me on...showing me that my hard work is paying off....in ways I can't always see on a daily basis. Seeing your child be compassionate...being a good sport....choosing to be unselfish...those kinds of things are the best gifts.

Kids rule. They teach me more than I teach them.

by the way...I had a birthday, turned 36 and am getting wrinkles and gray hair.

Tis the Season

It is that crazy time of year again! Hard to believe we had no idea where we were going to live and our lives were so up in the air this time last year. Unfortunately, the owners of the house we rent are short selling....so we will have to move again in 6 months. I am glad we don't have to move again around the holidays and the kids are able to finish out the school year. A perfect scenario would be that an investor buys the house and keeps us as renters....we have taken good care of the house....it looks better now than it did when we first got it.
Bad news is we have to show it......but it isn't too bad....we will deal!

Goodness...there is alot to update about.
My Dad is back in the hospital...with another surgery planned for Monday. The first on was a success....but took many hours longer than expected. I am worried to say the least. IT is hard to be so far away at times like this...when you really just want o be there and help out any way you can. Thank goodness for his wife Barb....he could not ask for a better nurse!

Luke: Let's see....he is leading his school in Battle of the Books....a little comptetion. HE won his class spelling bee and advanced to the school one. HE was 5th out fo everyone! I was very impressed....he was not happy. HE is so hard on himself. Luke looks forward to every Friday...when he attends ELP...the gifted program at his school. His teacher there is Mr. D. WE love him. Luke talks about him constantly and I can tell Luke has a role model to look up to. WE are so grateful that he gets Luke excited about learning...and cares for him...and treats him with respect. Great teachers change lives!!!!

Hope: Hope continues to grow up too fast. Already nine years old! She is very into clothes and jewelry and her hair....which sounds kinda self absorbed...which is the opposite of Hope. She is jut changing from a little girl.....eeeek!!!! I tell her she is going to make a fortune as a future babysitter...she is looking forward to that.

Ella: Ella is turning 6 on Monday. Time flies! I got a letter today from her teacher saying that Ella is being award the Student of the Month at her school tomorrow. We are keeping it a secret.....it will be fun to see her get that! She loves school and her teacher. She will be starting dance class in January...she is really looking forward to it. Our Ward split a couple of weeks ago....and she was devastated. She did not want to lose her teacher Sister Lee. She was an amazing teacher and friend to Ella! Ella even invited her to her birthday party! So cute!

Sadie: Said and I had the best day shopping and hanging out at the mall. She was just walking along, holding my hand saying the cutest things! She kept saying "Mom...I just love this place!" That's my girl! She also told me she liked how tall I was getting! ( maybe she meant fat!?)
It was one of those days where they make up for being so rotten sometimes. She is excited about Christmas...every time we see decorations she yells.."That's because Christmas is almost here!!" It is going to be a fun season with her this year!

Seth : He is still busy coaching at McClintock...I believe they just lost their first game of the season..only by a few. Seth thinks they will get better. HE is wrapping up his latest University of Phoenix class...and getting ready for busy season. He recently went into Luke's ELP class to dissect a SQUID!!!! They had a good time! I would have barfed for sure.

Me: Urgh...I don't feel like updating me. I am busy as usual....planning Ella's birthday, Christmas shopping, PTO, cleaning, komodo dragon projects, and trying to squeeze in some craftiness. Kinda digging Christmas so far. Tis the season!

a new adventure

Today marks the beginning of a new adventure for our family. Seth passed on a Higley High School basketball coaching position. IT was not a good fit for him as a person ...coach.....as a human being....don't get me started. He was sad about it....but it did not put out his desire to coach basketball. He recently signed on to coach at McClintock High School in Tempe. The coaching staff seem to really be there to make a difference in the lives of young boys and be role models for the rising generation. That compiled with his love of the game....Seth found the right fit. Tonight, he is at his first night of tryouts!
This adventure comes with a daily 3 hour time commitment, plus the drive to and from Tempe....on top of games, tournaments, etc. So....basically...no Seth in the evenings for the next 3 months. Tonight is our first night...and we are off to a good start. I think it won't be too bad...because Seth works from home 4 days a week...so we see him during the day. It would be an even bigger sacrifice if we were to not see him all day and night!
So.....fingers crossed this is everything Seth wants it to be!!!!! IT is s dream of his!

So other than that....I feel like if I were to update you all on the last week
I would depress the life out of all of you!!! I have one word for you: STREP. YUCK! We barely survived.

I will update later with pics of the Canada trip and the San Diego getaway...and maybe some Halloween!

Is it Fall?

Why is it that every time I have time to blog I am in a super bad mood and I just want to write mean grumpy things?
Ok...well I will just say one thing and then I will move on with the kids...the real reason anyone reads this,:)
High School Drama Queens that are grown women are really getting on my nerves. My Ward sucks! Leave it to me to piss off the queen drama bee within days of living here...and it has just gone on from there. I am too old for this!!! All my patience is taken up by my four kids folks....so don't mess with me!

k...I feel better.

September is over. Where did it go? I felt like I was in a dentist's chair half of the time! 2 crowns and one check up, and a root canal later...I think I am fixed. Thanks to my brother in law who is now a real dentist. ( like he was a fake one before...you know what i mean!)
I hate the dentist office...I hate the smell..the sounds ...the gloves...I hate people in my space...I hate stuff in my mouth...AHHHHH!!!! But I do love the gas. IT saved me. Poor Cory.... he had to deal with me and all of my neurosis at his work place.

Ok...on to the important stuff...the kids....
First quarter of school is over...we are officially on fall break. Parent Teacher Conferences went well...good grades....
Ella is in half day kindergarten and is quite the little reader. Her teacher gave her an AR goal of one point...which is adorable. She took 2 tests and made it and got to go in front of the whole school for a certificate. She is loving it.
Hope had her 9th birthday this week.....we had a super fun day. Breakfast in bed ( a birthday tradition)....then Seth and I picked her up at school and took her to lunch. Then we set everything up for her tea party that she invited her friends and their Moms to. Super cute!!!!! They were all so cute and sweet. Then we had the bead junkie bead party ladies come over to make bracelets! It was so fun!!!!!
Luke is actually not doing any sports this quarter......we are taking a breather and trying to enjoy family life a little more....slow down...smell the roses kind of thing. :) He did get a special treat from our awesome neighbor, Chris, who works for FOX Sports. HE knew MAx HAll the BYU quarterback who made the AZ CArdinals TEam this year was coming in for an interview...and invited Luke and Seth down to meet him!!!! I was so jealous! If I could find the thing to hook up the camera I would post a pic of it. Later!
Sadie is still ruling the roost around here. She asks everyday " How many more days till Sea Word?" She is very excited about going to the beach and to SEaWorld here next week. We rented an apartment with our friends Becky and Chris right by the beach for super cheap!!!! We can't wait!!!!
When we get back I will be heading home to Canada for 6 days. KIDLESS. Scary and exciting all at the same time! My Mom needs me...so I am off. My Grandma is in the hospital and not doing well either...so hopefully I will get to see her as well.

4 more sleeps till San Diego!!!!!

First Day of School

The kids are getting sooooo big. I tell them to stop it, but they don't listen. :)

My Mini Vacay!

I was lucky enough to get away with my dearest friend Becky ( my new neighbor!) to San Diego. aka PARADISE! A wonderful break from the heat...and a serious break from the day to day! This is what we did for 3 days. It was the best.

sUmMeR!!!!

Summer is moving along....hard to believe that my Ella will be in kindergarten in a month. Our school starts the end of July here....which I think I love. We have 2 weeks off in fall and spring...when the weather is better. Ella is ready...I am actually kinda sad that she won't be in full day....I think she is my first one that is really ready to be there all day at 5....but oh well. Sadie is happy about the half day...she will miss Ella.
Let's do a little person by person recap....in case you are interested. :)
Sadie : well, the swearing is a bit better...she still insists on telling every bug we kill..that they are stupid...but better that than her nursery teachers. She is sad she is too little for swim team...like her siblings..but we try our best to distract. She continues to be the world's best snuggler...demanding snuggles randomly throughout the day. I love it. She keeps me laughing and smiling most days and yelling and punishing on others.

Ella: Ella is enjoying her Summer classes she is taking twice a week. She does swimming, crafts and fitness. She feels very big to go off and do things herself. She is learning how to read and is getting better every day. She keeps us all smiling with her awesome one liners. Last night at dinner, she pipes up with
"Mom.....I love you!!!.....Dad! I love you!!!!....you guys are the love of my life."
priceless!
She is rockin' on swim team...with a 3rd place in the back stroke race! She is more excited about the color of the ribbons she brings home than the number! Love her!

Hope: Hope has been enjoying her summer and doing amazing on her swim team as well! She had to take off a week for bad cut on her foot...but got right back to it and got a 2nd place in breast stroke...her fave stroke! She has had a few fun play dates and is looking forward to a trip to Utah this next month. She is so easy to have around...I miss her when she is gone! I am really blessed to be her Mom.

Luke: Luke has been working hard at swim team too...and has improved his times alot!!!He looks so cute in his little speedo ( the knee length one) and is so tan! We tease him that he is our little Mexican. When he was born he had olive skin and jaundice....we called him our little Jose. :) HE has been reading and playing and swimming like crazy. He attended a week long basketball skills camp with Seth...and came home with 2 of the 3 trophies given to the kids. The coach told Seth that Luke should have got the third one too...but they thought they better let someone else have one!
He sort of has the little brother he never got, in our neighbor Nick. He is a 7 yr old that I babysit a few times a week...and they play hard! They enjoy each other's company and play well together.
Luke will be starting the 5th grade next month...and going off to a different school than his sisters ...SCARY!...I am way more nervous than he is!

Seth: Seth has been keeping really busy with work and basketball. He is an assistant coach for the Higley High school team...which has been busy for the month of June. There have been camps and open gyms and all sorts of fun stuff. HE got to meet the head coaches for ASU and U of A.....which really was exciting to him...and his dreams of coaching stay alive! The Fall will be insane...but hopefully he can be a help the boys and learn along the way. At the camp that Luke attended, the HS boys helped out...and I think Seth may have been paid the best compliment of his life up until the point:
Seth to HS player: Hey...Don't go easy on Luke!
Player: Luke is your son?
Seth : yes
Player: Dude....he is a BALLER!!!
Ah, boys...I am so glad they have each other!

Me: I have been babysitting a bit...reading and forever cleaning and doing laundry! Just getting the kids to Swim team practice each day has been crazy...but I am glad we have that to break up our days this summer. I just finished reading A soft Place to LAnd....it stunk!...and The Book Thief....it was really good. I enjoyed it alot.
I was bawling in it this morning when I finished it.
I was elected as Vice President of the PTO for the girl's school...so I have been doing a little of that too. I am excited about it...it should be fun! I do have a little something coming up that I am super excited about....my friend Becky and I are taking off to San Diego for a few days in July....KID FREE. yep...no worry ing about kids drowning in the ocean or who is eating sand.... just relaxation!!!! Can't wait!

I am ready for a monsoon! I think it is monsoon season isn't it?

A New Week

Well, I though we had a pretty good schedule of things going last week...with the swim team, seth's b ball, babysitting, etc. But, a new week with one car....everything is messed up!
Hope cut her foot open quite badly after a party on Saturday....no idea how...just gushing blood all over the place! I ended up taking her to Urgent Care yesterday ...cause it wasn't looking good. Should have had stitches...but too late.:(
Sad! So, she is all bandaged up and no pool for a week! ( and she can barely walk)

The boys are off at basketball camp all week. That should be fun. Would be more fun for me if we had 2 cars!
Luke had his Angels team party on Saturday....it was fun. We had a really good team this year...with great coaches. Coaching makes all the difference! Hopefully Luke can play another season with Coach Contreras! Coach gave out 4 awards at the party...and Luke got "The Closer" ....and that he was!!!!! So fun to see kids gain confidence through these experiences.

I am a little worried about this week with Sadie. She is going through quite a stage here...loving to say bad words...( not too bad...like f bombs or anything)....but calling your nursery teacher and your aunt and uncle STUPID...when you don't get your way. UNACCEPTABLE. She has a few other choice ones...and heard someone use the Lord's name in vain in a movie and drops that one now and again. My way has always been to nip things in the bud...show you mean business...and it has usually gone away. But...my Sadie......nope, not her. She now asks me which soap we are going to use to wash her mouth out with. ????????? I am stumped. I have tried time outs, taking away toys, tv,...she barely turned 3!!!!!!!
Please be a phase......that ends soon.
I am sure my mother is smiling on the inside right now...that I have a sassy little stinker like myself.
